Quiltathon sewing day

I got some good advice from my quilting friends to take more time for myself and not feel guilty about it...I've decided to take their advice. So I pulled out this quilt I started on New Year's Day along with another I cut out for myself in the same pattern but different colors. This one is for my friend. I plan to call it "A Tisket a Tasket" First time I've ever named a quilt but this one sprung to my mind. I finished a few blocks to see what it would look like layed out and here it is.

So I got a little bit of a late start but I am all set up and made a fresh pot of coffee. Wish I could hijack one of my friends to come sew with me today. Anyway, I will report back with my progress later.

Good for you taking some time for yourself! I really like those blocks. You could do some cool quilting with that. Enjoy your "me day"!

Wooo hooo! Good for you. You deserve to take some time for yourself. Having just retreated for a weekend, I can tell you that there is nothing like a day spent sewing to make you feel lots better.

Everyone needs to take time for themselves, alot of people forget the value of "me" time. You have the start of a very nice looking quilt.
