Stash Report May 29, 2011

Well I finally have something new to report.....and a confession to make.

First the confession.....I am a procrastinator.......it's true!

What do you mean you already knew that? HUMPH!

So I have a wedding to attend this June and two graduations, one in June one at the end of July.

Me being a quilter...I want to give quilt gifts....it was an easy choice.

Me being a procrastinator....I waited until that last minute. I decided I still have enough time to get everything done so last night I wrote down a detailed plan of action to cut out and piece two quilts in a very short time. I have one quilt cut out so far and working on the second but had to stop and make spaghetti sauce so while I am resting from all that cutting and cooking I thought I would take time to blog about my efforts. Here is a picture of the first quilt cut out:

It will be a large twin size and due end of June. I chose a very easy pattern that looks impressive...especially to non quilters. Her favorite color is purple. Here are the pieces cut out....can you guess what it will be?

This is the fabric for the second quilt which will be the same basic pattern but made with biigger pieces and will be a queen size. This one is for the wedding mid June: can you guess?

At any rate I will finish cutting it all out by the time I go to bed so am counting all of it (minus backings) now in my stash report

It is 7 yds for the twin and 9 for the queen.

Fabric in this week: 0 yds

Fabric out this week: 16 yds

Total in this year: 2 yds

Total out this year: 35.5 yds

Total busted: 33.5 yds

I am a procrastinator too, but I don't think I could get a quilt turned out that fast. Good for you.

I admire your quilting talent. I can't do anything like that.

Thank you for your comment. What was it that you wanted to ask me?

YOU'RE a procrastinator? You haven't met my husband! Love the colors in your quilt. I, too, admire your talent. Just threading a needle--if I can even accomplish it--makes me cry. Any session with my sewing machine, even if I'm just stitching up a torn seam--makes me grind my teeth. It's a battle between the two of us! Can you tell me what a "rodcab operator" is?
