I also have been trying to BUST MY SCRAPS!
I have lots of scraps but hardly ever venture in that drawer because it looks something like this!
I just can't face going in that drawer and trying to pick out fabric so I don't. The pile of scraps keeps growing, as you may imagine. I decided to tackle them this year too. I picked out around 7 different quilts that I want to make that are scrappy in different color ways so when I cut the scraps, I can cut them for a PROJECT and put it in that drawer. I have worked on it for 3 days now and hardly made a dent....but I WILL!
Here are a few pictures of projects I picked;
And here is the nice neat bin with some scraps cut and placed in them. Notice they are even labeled!
I can't help it, I am a tad OCD and this scrap drawer thing was making me just a little crazy!
Uh, my yardage looks like this:
Some of that is backings and quilt tops I bought on ebay though....(don't ask!)

greetings from one OCD person to another! I also like to cut the quilts and I keep my packaged in ziplock baggies. My favorite part of quilting is picking the pattern and cutting it.
I want to see the inside of those drawers . . . sadly, the cutting up of the scraps does move kind of slowly since I have to press everything first. Your scraps look like they are stacked neatly though . . . check out what I organize my scraps in: http://kare-lifedoesntgetmuchbetterthanthis.blogspot.com/2008/05/back-to-quilting.html
I've bought tops on Ebay before, mostly antique. I'm worse about buying the old blocks then finishing the quilts. I have to stay away because I can buy them much faster then I can finish them!
You are off to a great start to get those scraps organized AND used! I like your choice of scrap patterns! Cheers! Evelyn
